Istation’s innovative readingmath, and Spanish programs immerse students in an engaging and interactive environment and inspire them to learn. With Istation Home, students pick up right where they left off at school and can continue on their individualized learning paths at home.  Istation can be used at home if the application is downloaded onto a tablet, iPad, Kindle, laptop or desktop computer.  It will not work on a mobile phone. Bethune Academy’s Scholastic Book Fair that was scheduled for Monday, September 25th – Friday, September 29th  has been changed to November 13th – 17th.

Thank you for your support.

IMPORTANT: Hurricane Make-up

VERY IMPORTANT:   In response to Hurricane Irma, district staff decided the six remaining EARLY RELEASE DAYS in the 2017-18 school year will be extended to full instructional days.

(The remaining early dismissal days are:   Oct. 11, 2017; Nov. 15, 2017; Jan. 24, 2018; Feb. 7, 2018; March 14, 2018; and May 16, 2018.)

By extending the early release days, we will ensure that our district meets state-mandated instructional time requirements without extending the school year. The district calendar will be updated to reflect these changes.

"Full STEM Ahead" Duke Energy Grant

Bethune Academy is proud to have been a recipient of Duke Energy’s 2016/2017 Full STEM Ahead Education Grant! With this funding, Bethune Academy was able to purchase Lego’s Mindstorms Education EV3 Systems. With the addition of these STEM resources, our students now have the opportunity to design, build, program and test robots. Thanks to Duke Energy, this Grant has greatly enhanced our STEM program and will be utilized by multiple grade levels for years to come! On behalf of all Bethune Academy Stakeholders, we extend our sincere appreciation to Duke Energy!
